Red Bird opened its doors in November of 1996 with a mission to provide Missoula innovative cuisine using fresh local ingredients. Red Bird is tucked in an alley in the historic Florence Hotel Building and provides intimate evening dining in dramatic architectural surroundings. Husband and wife team, Jim Tracey and Laura Waters, specialize in serving house made pastas, hand cut meats, fresh seafood and delectable desserts. The menu changes seasonally to accommodate the freshest ingredients possible. The ever changing wine list provides boutique style wines with an emphasis on the Northwest region.
